New York, NY April 30, 2025 — Midtown Comics Downtown is thrilled to announce a special in-store signing event with acclaimed writer Alex Segura to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated first issue, Star Wars #1 comic book! Join the excitement on Wednesday, May 7th at 5:00 PM at Midtown Comics Downtown – 64 Fulton Street, NYC.
Taking place the same week as the fan-favorite holiday May the Fourth, this event is the perfect way to keep the Star Wars celebration going. Alex Segura, the talented writer behind the latest chapter in the Star Wars comic universe, will be on hand to meet fans and sign copies of Star Wars #1.

Can't make it to NYC? No problem! The signing will be streamed live on Whatnot, giving fans around the world the chance to join in the fun. Viewers can purchase signed copies of Star Wars #1 during the stream and have them shipped straight to their doorstep. There will also be exclusive giveaways happening live on Whatnot—don’t miss your chance to score some galactic goodies!
Adding to the excitement, cosplayers dressed as iconic Star Wars characters will be in attendance, turning Midtown Comics into a scene straight out of the galaxy far, far away. Fans can come dressed in their best Star Wars cosplay and join in for fun photos!
Fans attending in person and online will also have the option to submit their signed comics for CGC grading, ensuring their collectible stays protected and professionally authenticated.
